About Me
Hi, I’m Marcia White, founder of Classic Island Catering a catering service rooted in love, culture, and creativity.
I was born and raised in Jamaica, where my culinary journey began in the most unexpected way. When my mom migrated to the United States, I stepped up to cook for my dad not out of passion, but necessity. Over time, that necessity blossomed into a deep love for Jamaican cuisine and a meaningful connection to my heritage.
Meeting my husband, Bradley, was a turning point. His talent in the kitchen inspired me to explore new techniques and flavors, sparking my creativity and expanding my culinary horizons. Together, we’ve shared countless meals, ideas, and moments that have shaped the way I cook today.
After migrating to the U.S., I continued to hone my skills preparing meals for family gatherings, birthday parties, and special occasions. Each dish became a celebration of culture, family, and joy. Now, through Classic Island Catering, I’m proud to share that joy with others.
